Shifting Post Traumatic Stress in your daily life

Dates: 6 Wednesday Mornings, 18 May - 22 June from 10 -12 noon.
This ongoing group is for people who are experiencing trauma or ongoing stresses affecting their daily living. Through the psychodrama method you will have the opportunity to strengthen and develop skills and gain insights that will have immediate effect in your home and work environment. In this workshop you will have the opportunity to communicate frustrations, clear obstacles and resolve minor conflicts of living in your personal or professional life. Participants can expect to be able to develop new roles and perspectives, acknowledge old roles and see the value in these. The aim of this workshop is to provide a safe group environment where you can develop greater resilience, vitality and more effective relationships with yourself and others. It will particularly suit those working in the health field and emergency services.
Venue: The Psychodrama Institute of Melbourne, 1/10-12 Adolph St, Cremorne 3121 (near East Richmond Railway Station).

Fee: $40.00 per workshop (without a health fund or Medicare involvement), or $60.00 for those utilising the Medicare rebate or private health insurance (rebates may be up to $30.00 a session). Fees are payable on the day; cash, cheque or Visa and Mastercard credit cards welcome. 10% discount on the full six sessions. Tea, good coffee and biscuits are included.
A portion of the fee is donated to police and emergency services organisations.
The Leaders
Sue Daniel is an internationally renowned trainer, educator and practitioner of psychodrama (TEP), working in many countries over 30 years. She is a psychologist, psychotherapist in private practice in Melbourne, where she sees individuals, couples and families. She consults to organisations and is experienced in the field of addictions, trauma and disaster. Sue is the founder and director of the Psychodrama Institute of Melbourne PIM) and the first foreign visiting professor (Honorary) at the Muroran Institute of Technology in Japan.
Melas Khole is a psychologist and psychodramatist who works in a community health setting and in private practice. He previously worked for ten years in the Forensic (prison) system working with groups and individuals utilising a mixture of approaches. He is an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society, member of the Moreno Psychodrama Society and on the Faculty of the Psychodrama Institute of Melbourne. Melas is Medicare registered for the ‘Better Outcomes for Mental Health’ program and a registered provider for Worksafe and TAC.
