An Introduction to Psychodrama
This three-hour experiential workshop conducted by Sue Daniel, Director of PIM, is designed for people who are interested in the psychodrama method with an idea to enrol in our workshops or training program in 2017. It will give participants an opportunity to experience the psychodrama method including relevant concepts and basic techniques, which have application in work and life. The session is free. Sue Daniel is the director of the Psychodrama Institute of Melbourne, founder of the Moreno Psychodrama Society and the Australian and Aotearoa (New Zealand) Board of Psychodrama. She is a psychodrama trainer, educator, practitioner (TEP) and a psychologist (MAPS) in private practice. Sue is an International Trainer who regularly conducts workshops and seminars in many other countries, working with communities, universities and consulting with organisations. Her articles on psychodrama and role theory have been published in books and journals worldwide.
2017 Training Program
Opening of Institute Friday, 24 February from 7.30 – 10.30 pm
PIM offers seminars, workshops and ongoing training and supervision in psychodrama, group psychotherapy, sociometry, sociodrama, role theory, role training and group work. The courses will suit those working or studying in all health fields including, counselling, psychiatry, social work, medicine, psychology and in pastoral care, community, organisations and education. The courses include empathy and leadership training and group dynamics and processes. Our institute is affiliated with the Moreno Psychodrama Society and the International Association of Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes. Certification and accreditation is through the Australian and Aotearoa (New Zealand) Board of Psychodrama. Applications and interviews commence mid-October, 2016.
Level 1, 2 & 3 courses are held on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday evenings; six weekly sessions and a one day workshop in each four terms during the year plus other events.
